The announcement which came after a hurried midnight poll has been roundly rejected by party members and close party watchers. Obong Udofia,known to many as AK,was a governorship aspirant in the Peoples Democratic Party, until four days to the APC primaries in the state. An APC stalwart who spoke to the reporter on the condition of anonymity in Uyo said Akan Udofia's Governorship candidacy lacks credibility because he was not elected by party delegates. *The report of the (Tech) Committee detailing all the facts, supported with relevant documents and recommendations was submitted to the PGOU who later presented the Techcom Report to Oron People during the Special AGM of Oron Union in Oron Civic Centre on the 7th of March 2021, for deliberations. The recommendations of the Committee were accepted by Oro people.*

The scenario is creating unnecessary misunderstanding and misconception.*
