*LET'S STOP AND PONDER OVER OUR ACTION(S), INACTION(S) AND REACTION(S), LEST WE LEAD ORO ASTRAY BECAUSE WE DO NOT WANT TO RESPECT INSTITUTION(S)*
1. *If the 3 wise men, later enlarged to the 88 forebears (founders) of Oron Union were not mistaken in 1925 (96 years ago) in reasoning that having a body corporate in the mould and structure of Oron Union, where Oro people could speak with one voice and have the interests of Oro defended was appropriate, then there is obviously something mischievous about the current attempt to decimate Oron Union from performing its core role to Oro at this most auspicious time.*
2. *If Oron Union is an all-inclusive umbrella of Oro people, at home and in the diaspora, with membership open automatically to all Oro-blooded indigenes by birth, through identification of paternity or maternity in any of the 11 Clans of Oro and membership by enlistment in any of Oron Union Branches and its affiliates worldwide, then every Oro person is duty-bound to make the Union stronger, respected and representative of our interests before the external authorities and institutions.*
3. *If we all have affiliation with the Union by birth and/or by enlistment, then we all have a duty, individually and collectively, to preserve, uphold and defend its tenets, Constitution, Byelaws, Conferences' Resolutions as well as exercising unequivocal respect to its constituted authorities.*
4. *If Oro people have severally affirmed their faith in the continued representation of Oron Union, in pursuing their collective interests, within and without the geopolitical sphere of Oro Nation, then there is something wrong with another body, unknown to the generality of Oro people and without their formal mandate, arrogating to itself, the roles already ascribed to Oron Union to perform in behalf of the Oro people.*
5. *If leadership is solidly laid on enduring foundation when built on institutions rather than on individuals, then we must respect the persons and offices of our leaders, no matter their age, gender, personality, human limitations, etc.*
*In light of these,*
*LET OBJECTIVITY GUIDE OUR PRIVATE AND OFFICIAL ENGAGEMENTS ALWAYS √*
*LET'S SHUN SUBJECTIVITY IN OUR OPERATIONS, NO MATTER THE CHANGING CIRCUMSTANCES √*
*WE CANNOT DEFEND OUR INDIVIDUAL PERSONALITIES BEFORE A COURT OF RATIONAL PERSONS WHEN WE ARE SEEN AS INCONSISTENT IN OUR STANCE ON ISSUES.*

Obong Udofia, known to many as AK,was a governorship aspirant in the Peoples Democratic Party, until four days to the APC primaries in the state. An APC stalwart who spoke to the reporter on the condition of anonymity in Uyo said Akan Udofia's Governorship candidacy lacks credibility because he was not elected by party delegates. According to him," After waiting at the party Secretariat on Ekpo Obot street, Uyo for eight hours,we were told to go home, that the nomination had been postponed till the next day. It was therefore shocking to hear that Obong Akanimo Udofia was elected in the night after th...
