Oron Federal Constituency hopeful promises effective representation

A Frontline House of Representatives hopeful for Oron Federal Constituency, Captain. Effiong Eyo Rtd has offered himself for effective representation in 2023.

He said if elected member to represent the people in the Green Chambers, he will use his wealth of experience and national connections to attract meaningful developments to Oro community.

The retired military officer maintained that he is eminently qualified and he is blessed with enough experience to represent the people.

He disclosed that his decision to represent the people was burn out of the desire of his people who recently beckoned on him to run the race.

He further stated that he was approached by concerned Oro citizens, Oro professional bodies as well as stakeholders to contest in order to rescue the oro in future.

Captain Eyo made this known when he fielded questions from our political reporter in Uyo recently, assuring that accepting to contest will create avenue that unite the people together through provision of dividends of democracy.

Captain Effiong attended Methodist Primary school, Eyosung, Udung Uko. Community Secondary School Udung Uko, obtained NCE in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Nigerian Army College of Education Ilorin, Kwara State. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and Education from UNN, Advanced Diploma in Security Operations and Management from the Unilag, and he is presently doing a Master degree programme in the Industrial Technology Education Department in Uniuyo where he is majoring in Computer Science Education, he has a high intelligence quotient that is required to engage in the national assembly to bring the needed development to his constituents and Nigeria.

The Udung Uko born philanthropist cum politician who retired voluntarily from the Nigerian Army and fully joined politics in 2013 further believed that he will be the right person to represent the people of that Federal Constituency in the next dispensation.

According to him, "I am coming as a bridge that that would link the youths and the elders, having worked efficiently with the Oro elders since I left the army".

He also promised to carry all youths, women and the stakeholders along in his scheme of things, adding that there will be regular meetings to know the plights of the people. According to him, “my vision for Oron Federal Constituency and how to partner with the youths, women, elders, former house members and all those who have aspired and bought forms to represent Oron Federal Constituency in the past and present, to give Oro a face lift in the Green Chamber are contained in our manifesto”.

Eyo is happily married with children, as a Pastor in the Living Faith Church, he advises that the practice of oath taking should be avoided by politicians which according to him is condemnable and satanic.

He explained that he has lined out programmes and activities including life touching projects if he becomes the next Member of Parliament and promised to represent the people with the fear of God

His words, "I believe I am the best, I preach unity, I am a man that has the people at heart. I will not do oath taking like what most politicians do, as a Pastor I believe in the ability of my God, power comes from God".

In conclusion, he pledges to serve Oro with all his strength, to be faithful, loyal and honest on Oro issues, to carry Oro problems on his head in Abuja.
