THE TRUE STAKEHOLDERS OF APC MUST BE GIVEN THEIR RIGHTFUL PLACE IN AKWA IBOM STATE APC

THE TRUE STAKEHOLDERS OF APC MUST BE GIVEN THEIR RIGHTFUL PLACE IN AKWA IBOM STATE APC

We have watched with dismay, the way and manner APC in Akwa Ibom State is being managed, it is time for us to all rise and say NO to bad leadership, confusion, incompetency and misdirection of our great party in the state. We the true stakeholders of the party have risen to rescue our party from stronghold rent seekers who are only interested in using the party for their personal and selfish gains rather than for the democratic interests of genuine stakeholders and the development of Akwa Ibom State. We are now ready to return the party to the true owners.

It is sad to observe that some selfish interest groups in the party have hijacked the party and ready to keep it down for their selfish reasons. These same people frustrated the party during the 2015 and 2019 general elections, that is why the true stakeholders of APC who are made up of all the support groups, youths, women and elders in the state, have come out in full force to rescue the party, and give it a new direction that will enable us take over power in the state in 2023. The Akwa Ibom people yearn for a properly led APC.

Such selfish disposition and self-serving ambition in all honesty, have threatened the very foundation of the party in Akwa Ibom State. Therefore, we the true stakeholders cannot fold our hands and watch our party destroyed by self-serving elements.

Recall that in 2015, our party was to provide an option for good governance in Akwa Ibom State, the same players with selfish quest destroyed the prospects of APC providing that alternative.

Akwa Ibom APC Alliance (AAA) consist of patriotic APC members in Akwa Ibom State, who are determined to provide the right direction that will bring positive democratic dividends to every Akwa Ibom son and daughter. AAA is the only group ready to co-operate with any person or groups to promote the APC and defend the peace and unity of our great party in Akwa Ibom State.

The people who have hijacked this party have refused to include every capable party member in the running of the party. Our mission is to ensure total inclusiveness and repositioning of the party as we prepare to take over power in the state in 2023. Our desire for total inclusiveness is to ensure justice, equity and fair play for all the party members in the state.

Recall also that in 2013, three major political parties; ACN, CPC, ANPP and others came together to form the All Progressive Congress (APC) as the alternative platform to rescue Nigeria, and in Akwa Ibom State, the major stakeholders were Senator John Udoedeghe of ACN, Group Captain Sam Enwang of ANPP and Engr, Larry Esin of CPC.

It is on record that, while the APC reconciliation committee from Abuja visited, other APC groups in the state led by Senator John Udoedeghe (Akwa Ibom APC Coalition (AAC)), Senator Ita Enang (APC Bridge Builder(ABB)), Group Captain Sam Enwang and Senator Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom Democratic Forum (ADF)) were invited. In spite of the efforts of our National leadership, these self-appointed leaders have still not been able put their selfish interest aside and work towards our party’s victory in 2023. AAA can no longer seat aside and watch the destruction of a party we helped to build.

In conclusion, as the true representatives of the APC faithfuls in Akwa Ibom State, we are calling on the appropriate authority to be aware that for us to have a true reconciliation that will ensure the electoral fortune of our party in 2023, certain steps will have to be taken; (1) Selection/nomination of our party leader and (2) Nomination/Selection of our interim party officers to pilot the affairs of our party.  After wide consultations and discussions with members of our party, APC Support Groups and others for the way forward, we have all agreed that the APC in Akwa Ibom State should be administered by an interim committee devoid of any member of the four APC factions in the state. This will bring unity, love, peace, progress and respect to our party, and this will give us the needed strength to go for victory in 2023 elections.

We the party faithfuls in Akwa Ibom State have decided that Engr. Larry Esin, who was the Gubernatorial flag bearer of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in 2011, and a committed supporter of our great party and federal government, is therefore nominated and generally accepted by the majority of our party faithfuls in the state as the leader Akwa Ibom APC Alliance (AAA). Engr. Esin possesses the temperament and capacity to lead us to victory in 2023, he is void of ethnic politics and accepted by the majority of Akwa Ibomites. To this end, we have nominated Hon. Engr. Ime Mbom as the interim chairman of APC in Akwa Ibom State. All other members of the interim Exco will be announced and presented to the National Secretariat for recognition.

Long live Akwa Ibom APC Alliance!

Long live APC!

Long live Akwa Ibom State!

Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
