Nigeria must not trust Gov Udom - Chief Nkpubre

*Says Udom's 2023 succession a conspiracy against AKS

Chief Nkpubre has called on Nigerians not to allow themselves to be deceived by Governor Udom Emmanuel as his 2023 succession plan is a scam that most be resisted.

The Elder Statesman who spoke to reporters on Friday said the issue of God revealing Udom's successor through iPad has revealed that the Umo Eno project is a scam and that Governor Udom cannot be trusted with power.

Chief Nkpubre said the issue of a successor to the office of Governor is such an important issue that should not be reduced to a joke by basing one's decision on a prophesy coming from a text message gotten on an ipad.

He said Governor Udom has reduced the seriousness of governance to something that can be likened alongside a TV comedy from the Papa Ajasco series. He warned the PDP National Working Committee, NWC, and the State Chairman of the party, Rt Hon Elder Aniekan Akpan, not to allow themselves to be fooled by religious sentiments that has no relevance to the political reality on ground and called on Akwa Ibom people to go register and get their PVC so as to vote for a Governor of their choice who will be a product of the voters and not of an ipad prophesy.

Chief Nkpubre called on the PDP to be mindful of a possible revolt and ensure a level playing field is created for all candidates as any attempt to disenfranchise any aspirant may lead to the failure of the party.

"Nigerians and Akwa Ibom people must take their destiny in their own hands. We cannot trust Udom again. We cannot trust our future on a man who can no longer think logically but rely on an ipad prophesy to know who his successor will be. That is not the kind of joke Akwa Ibom needs in 2023", he said.

Nkpubre said that those who receive or claimed to have received prophecies from God on a mission, normally do not show panic nor desperation in their utterances and actions but only propagate the message, waiting in faith and patience for its actualization.

He said that does not seem to be the case with Umo Eno as his camp panic more than those without a prophecy. "With a thousand reactionary press releases that attack tissues than issues, they have this ridiculous habit of contesting ridiculously against any contrary opinions expressed by others. It leaves much to doubt when those who believe in a prophecy act like this way".

Nkpubre said he aligns with Hon Ekefre who recently addressed a crowd in Eket where he said ... “In 2023, Akwa Ibom people need a governor who will act like mother-hen that gathers or scatters food around for her chicks. We don’t want a vulture that only swoops on a target, picks all it could, and flies back to the topmost part of the tallest tree to devour it – all alone”.

He said for Ekefre to be sacked 48 hours later, only shows how desperate the Umo Eno Campaign Organization has become. Chief Nkpubre commended Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State who said that he surely will have a successor; but he will not inflict pains upon himself with claims of any prophecy or involvement in the war of succession that apparently has given governors in other States sleepless nights.

Akan Udofia's Governorship Quest Hits Brick wall.

Akan Udofia's Governorship Quest Hits Brick wall. By Udofia Anana It is not yet Uhuru for Obong Akanimo Udofia  whose APC governorship nomination was announced amidst widespread protests in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital city, recently. The announcement which came after a hurried midnight poll has been roundly rejected by party members and close party watchers. Obong Udofia, known to many as AK,was a governorship aspirant in the Peoples Democratic Party, until  four days to the APC primaries in the state.  An APC stalwart who spoke to the reporter on the condition of anonymity in Uyo said Akan Udofia's  Governorship candidacy lacks credibility because he was not elected by party delegates. According to him," After waiting at the party Secretariat on Ekpo Obot street, Uyo for eight hours,we were told to go home, that the nomination had been postponed till the next day. It was therefore shocking to hear that Obong Akanimo Udofia was elected in the night after the delegates

Nigeria Being Brought To Ruin By Useless Criminals’, TY Danjuma Knocks Military, Insists On Self-Defence Kayode Oyero

‘ Updated October 22, 2022 Former Chief of Army Staff, Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, says Nigeria is being brought to ruin by heavily armed “useless” criminals. The former defence minister, who insisted on self-defence to drive out country’s common “enemy”, said Nigeria will be finished if this is not done. The octogenarian spoke on Saturday when he delivered a goodwill message in Wukari, Taraba State, where Governor Darius Ishaku presented staff of office to His Majesty Manu Ishaku Adda Ali, the 25th Aku Uka. He knocked the military for living in denial over Nigeria’s aggravating security challenges, saying the “evidence” of what he said four years ago is now obvious for all eyes to see. Danjuma had in March 2018 urged Nigerians to defend themselves against their killers but his call for self-defence attracted stark criticisms. Four years later, the former defence chief on Saturday said, “Our country is under siege by armed bandits, all over the country when some few years ago, I warned
