RE: ANNULMENT OF AKAN UDOFIA'S CANDIDACY: A TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE  A rebuttal of Obong Akan Udofia Campaign Council's mention of Engr. Larry Esin The attention of Engr. Larry Esin 2023 Campaign Organization has been drawn to a press release by Obong Akan Udofia Campaign Organization which was signed by the Director-General, Chief Don Etim. In the release, the Council made efforts to give what it believes to be an account of series of political incidents and processes leading to the now annulled Akwa Ibom APC Governorship Primaries Election.  Today, the Court has delivered Judgement in the case I instituted at the Federal High Court Uyo and has nullified and affirmed the position of INEC that "there was no nomination by APC in Akwa Ibom State because INEC did not monitor the primary". and of course we also contended that under the Electoral Act, the first defendant who was wrongly declared a candidate is not a member of the APC and can not contest election. So the Court has upheld our position in Law and has disqualified him (Akanimo Udofia) and has ordered another nomination within 14 (Fourteen) days to be conducted by the Party. I am the Governorship candidate of the APC incoming and I ask God for his absolute grace to go through the challenges ahead.

Enang, in one of his claims, said that Akan Udofia was not a member of the APC in the State. But Udofia argued the APC had given him a waiver that qualified him to contest the primary. In a judgement on Monday, Justice Agatha Okeke cancelled the APC primary and ordered the party to conduct another primary within two weeks. Justice Okeke also dismissed the purported waiver granted Udofia and ordered the party to conduct another primary in a fortnight where authentic governorship flag bearer of APC in the State will emerge.
