SUPPORT ME BASED ON MY TRACK RECORDS, CAPTAIN EFFIONG EYO CNC (RTD) TELLS ORO PEOPLE.

The voters in Oron Federal Constituency have been encouraged to support aspirants who have tangible and sincere plans to represent Oro people in Abuja effectively from 2023.

The Udung Uko born retired military officer, who said this while consulting his kinsmen today (March 12, 2022) at his Eyosung residence, told them that by his track records,  he was the best man for the job for now.

The Oron born activist said "when God wanted to deliver Israel from the hands of the Philistines, He sent David. When God wanted to set Israel free from the land of Egypt, He sent Moses; and now God is preparing to send him to set Oro people free, because it's always one person at a time."

He revealed to his people  that there is no challenges Oro people are passing through that he was not aware of, and made his readiness to use his wealth of knowledge, experience, exposure, connection and boldness to tackle and handle those challenges with maturity known to Oro people and announced that his blueprint, which focuses on the areas Oro people have been marginalized for many years will be unveiled to Oro people soon for public consumption.

Specifically, he said that no oppressed people in the Bible remained Oppressed for life, every oppressed people in the Bible later got their freedom; and shouted "ORO SHALL BE FREE."

Captain Effiong appealed to the entire Oro people to look into the future and try to imagine the positions of their children yet unborn, and be eager and willing to rise up and lay a good and solid foundation for them. He advised Oro people to shun money politics and begin to cast their votes for credible candidate who has been carrying Oro problems as his own personal problems, and not to people who were always sitting on the fence when there was no election, but now decide to bring in their money because they're looking for your votes and supports. "Eat the money, it belongs to us", he added.

The die hard Udung Uko born activist said his records in the fight for the emancipation and repositioning of Oron Nation for the redemption of her lost glory will continue to speak for him anytime, anywhere and any day.

His record, he said, included but not limited to the fight against the relocation of Ibaka Deep Seaport, fight for recognition of Oron Nation as oil host community and upgrade of Maritime Academy of Nigeria, (MAN) Oron to full fledge University of Maritime Studies Oron (UMSO).

Describing himself as someone who joined the army with school set but worked hard to become one of the most educated officers in Nigerian Army Armoured Corps with five war medals which he received in his active involvement in Peace Keeping/Peace Enforcement Missions in African countries; he promised to give scholarships to Oro scholars and deliberately produce 10 pilots, 10 ship captains, 10 medical doctors, 10 engineers, 10 lawyers, 10 pharmacists, 10 nurses, 10 PhD holders, 10 activists and 5 millionaires in each of the 5 LGAs of Oron Nation.

I cannot give you a motorcycle when I know that the state government won't allow you to ride it to Ibom Plaza. I cannot give you a used Camry car when I know you won't be able to fuel it. Instead, I will give to those that can't go to school tricycles (Keke), mini buses, fishing boats and be willing to pay for you to learn a trade of your choice so that you will be productive not only to yourself, but to Oron Nation, he added also.

Apparently, he charged the Oro voters to be focused and determined for the best, adding that he  has sold himself out for public service from his infancy, and  that is what gives him joy.
